shelter management, interpersonal skills, project management, and overall leadership skills. At
the end of the training program, Nicole selected a project to implement for the department.

Annual Health Assessments (AHA) (Formerly called HRA) Reminder
The City’s Benefits staff has been informed that AHA blood draw appointments are currently booked
through Friday, Oct. 23. The Benefits staff are working with CareHere to determine what options may be
available to offer more blood draw appointments before the deadline of Friday, Oct. 23 to allow enough
time for lab results to come in for a follow-up appointment by Oct. 30. Employees are advised to
regularly check the scheduler to see if appointments become available due to cancellations. If additional
appointments are offered, the Benefits team will update all employees through email.
To regularly check the appointment scheduler:
• Visit www.carehere.com
o Registration Access Code: CFDT2
• Use the CareHere app
• Call the CareHere Patient Support Center at 877-423-1330
• If appointments are available, employees will have the option to schedule a televisit. A televist is
a virtual one-on-one office visit that takes place over an internet connection through your
computer or cell phone. When scheduling an appointment online, enter “televisit”, your phone
number, and the reason for your visit in the comments section of your online appointment.
Call the City’s Benefits team at (940) 349-8340 if you have any questions about the clinic or your

New Fire Truck, Old Traditions
In August, the Fire Department gained a new truck to their fleet. As part of an old firehouse tradition, a
