INFORMAL STAFF REPORT

SUBJECT:
FY20-21 Acceptance of Sponsorships and Donations Update.
BACKGROUND: On February 11, 2020, the City Council approved Ordinance 20-169 outlining requirements for accepting sponsorships and donations.
Under the new ordinance, Parks and Recreation will provide Council with a report, at least annually, which includes information on the sponsorships and donations collected.
DISCUSSION:
The COVID pandemic significantly impacted special events and programs that would typically collect sponsorships during the first quarter of FY 20-21. Special events and programs were suspended for a period of time with gatherings of large groups restricted. The Parks and Recreation Department has collected a total of $3,995 in sponsorships and donations for the following events, programs or projects:
