Description: Responsible for supervising, instructing and coaching all participants enrolled in the TAAF Swim Team along with the Head Swim Coach.
Essential Functions:
Coaches a wide variety of age groups/skill levels
Periodically submits written workouts to Recreation Center Superivosr
Maintains current team records
Ensures the safety of all team members according to facility policies and procedures
With the Head Swim Coach coordinates all Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (T.A.A.F.) summer swim meet entries for Denton swim team members
May travel and represent the City of Denton at T.A.A.F swim meets. Assists with the hosting of all T.A.A.F. summer swim meets held in Denton
Maintains regular and punctual attendance
Additional Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years or older
CPR Certification

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and customers
Effective swimming skills in all 4 competitive strokes (Back, Breast, Fly, Free)
Conditions of Employment
Must have a valid Class "C" Driver's License prior to employment
Must pass a drug test, driver's license check, criminal history background check, and social security verification
Must pass a physical examination
Must be able to work the entire season; morning and/or evening hours may be required
Preferences:
Prefer at least 2 seasons of swim coaching/teaching experience
