Job Description
Definition: Responsible for
Essential Functions:
Assists with routine operations of the department
Assists with computer operations, which includes data entry and retrieval
Assists with customer inquiries and complaints
Prepares memoranda, letters, and similar administrative responses upon request
Answers telephone, refer and direct calls, answer routine inquiries, run errands, and perform other department support functions upon request
Additional Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency:
Current enrollment in a college or university level program requiring an internship
Core Competencies:

Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and customers
Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
Ability to interact with customers professionally and provide good customer service
Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Conditions of Employment:
Must have a valid Class “C” Driver’s License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class “C” driver’s license and state
required minimum automobile liability insurance within 30 days of hire per state law)
Must pass a drug test, driver’s license check, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check
Must be able to work Monday through Friday (up to 20 hours per week)
Preferences:
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
