Definition: Responsible for supervising activities related to the food and beverage operations at Denton Aquatic Facilities.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for training and supervising all concessions personnel in stand operations and food handling.
Controls and tracks all inventory for food and beverages purchases.
Monitors food stock and places food orders.
Performs administrative duties, including but not limited to; record keeping, reporting, and front desk operations during the fall and winter months.
Monitors and reduces concessions operating costs related to staffing and inventory.
Runs reports, evaluates current practices, and makes recommendations for operational improvements.
Assists in recruiting and hiring seasonal staff. May assist manager with scheduling and monitoring facility operating costs related to staffing.
Creates revenue generating opportunities through concessions sales for admissions, cabanas, birthday parties, rentals, and special events.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of all concession's areas.
Coordinates delivery of all food supplies with distributors.
Ensures that concessions facilities adhere to all City of Denton health codes. Performs all opening procedures with concessions staff.
Prepares concession facility and products for daily shift.
Assists with concessions promotional material and content. Works independently, prioritizes tasks and completes them within specified time frames.
Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department policies and procedures.
Acquires job specific certifications and training related to job specific program area.

Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
2-3 years customer service and/or food handling experience
At least 2 years of experience supervising employees who prepare and/or handle food
OR
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job

Conditions of Employment:
Must have a valid Class “C” Driver’s License prior to employment
Must pass a drug test, driver’s license check, and criminal history background check
Must be at least 17 years or older and be able to work on a rotating schedule seven (7) days per week
Preferences:
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Prior experience operating a cash register
Prior experience tracking inventories
Experience with Excel
Food Handlers Certification

operation at Water Works Park.

Assists Aquatic Business and Customer Service Supervisor in scheduling staff for regular shifts and after-hours rentals and events
