Title: Birthday Party Host/Hostess Department/Division: Parks & Recreation Reports to: Aquatics Administrative Assistant Definition: Responsible for set-up and clean up of birthday
party area, greeting and assisting guests, serving food and beverages, and assisting with party games
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for working scheduled parties and events at Water Works Park and Denton Natatorium
Greet guests and help bring in and store gifts
Responsible for all set up and clean up for booked parties
Serve food and beverages to all party guests
Maintain positive relationships with all employees and supervisors
Follows established City of Denton policies and procedures
Must have ability to deal with guests in a courteous and professional manner
Directs all guests to areas throughout Water Works Park and the Denton Natatorium
Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required
Regular and punctual attendance
Additional Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/Acceptable Equivalency:
Must be at least 16 years of age
Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an outgoing personality
Must have the ability to deal with guests in a courteous and professional manner
Must enjoy interacting with children and parents
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Conditions of Employment:
Must pass a drug test, social security verification, and criminal history background check
Must be able to work on a rotating schedule seven (7) days (up to 40 hours) per week
Preferences:
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Minimum one year experience with customer service
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Must be able to work entire summer
