Job Description
Definition: Responsible for the development and implementation of the LabWare Laboratory Information System
Essential Functions:
Builds analysts work list queries
Builds sample results entry and QC entry queries
Configures scheduled sample log-in routines for lab customers
Programs in Significant Figures rule into LIMS using SQL
Builds queries so analyst/management can look up sample status and results
Builds query for QC personnel listing completed data ready to be second-checked
Generates customer reports by pulling all pertinent sample results including QC
Pushes data from various instruments (ICP-Mass Spec, Ion Chromatograph) to LIMS
Pushes data from LIMS to WIMS and Linko (Water Reclamation, Water Production, and Industrial Pretreatment databases)
Pulls data from contract lab to LIMS
Builds log of receipt for purchase inventory
Develops interface with city network for reporting and customer portal access.
Builds analysis inventory queries
Looks into the possibility of data import from various meters and instrumentation throughout the lab via Wi-Fi connectivity
Maintains regular and punctual attendance
Additional Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency:
Knowledge of Macros, Event Triggers, Scheduled Routines, Automation Scripts, and SQL enabled inserts based on business rule configurations.

Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job

Conditions of Employment:
Must have a valid Class “C” Driver’s License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class “C” driver’s license and state
required minimum automobile liability insurance within 30 days of hire per state law)
Must pass a drug test, driver’s license check, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check
Preferences:
Prior databse configuration experience preferred.
