Definition: Responsible for assisting warrant officers in all aspects of warrant communication, notification, and closing
Essential Functions:
Greets citizens and accepts and processes payments for existing warrants
Obtain bond money from desk and jail and ensures accuracy of monies obtained
Check jail records for warrants to serve on arrested people
Responsible for monthly reporting of warrants received, dollars collected, and bonds posted
Responsible for counting/balancing cash amount and depositing money on a routine basis
Ensures accuracy of warrants filed
Researches, processes, and maintains statistics for warrant roundups
Pulls warrants when payments have been received through the mail to show receipt of money collected
Coordinates and ensures mail out of warrant notification letters
Makes warrant notification phone calls
Processes jail arrests and ensures the accuracy of the bond posted and the monies received
Monitors other agencies arrests to ensure receipt of funds or bonds
Initiate check requisitions for external agency warrants
Ability to get along with customers and co-workers
Maintains regular and punctual on-site attendance

Minimum Qualifications/Acceptable Equivalency:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
One year of direct public contact
Detail oriented
OR
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job

Conditions of Employment:
Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check
Must be able to work overtime when requested

Must meet the Civilian Hiring Standards for the Denton Police Department
