Finance CITY City of Denton DENTON Job Description Title: Student Aide (Mayor's Summer Youth Program) — Finance Position ID: SA0002 Department/Division: Finance Reports to: Department Director FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt Safety Sensitive: No DOT: No Definition: Responsible for providing direct support to the Finance Department staff. Essential Functions: • Assists Finance Department staff on special projects • Assists with the creation of financial reports and manuals • Perform general administrative work involving filing and sorting documents • Regular and punctual attendance Additional Duties: • Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency: • Must be enrolled in High School or equivalent or a recent graduate • Must be between the ages of 16 to 21 years of age Core Competencies: • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and customers • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance • Ability to interact with customers professionally • Ability to present a professional appearance Conditions of Employment: • Must be a resident of the City of Denton • Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check • Must be able to work Monday through Friday (15-20 hours per week) • Professional appearance required Job Description Template —Job Code Page 2 of 3 Preferences: • Knowledge of standard office programs, such as Microsoft Office.
