I. The meeting was opened at 2:02 pm by Carolyn Booker.
II. Selection of a member to write and distribute minutes
a. Cynthia Pfledderer volunteered to write and distribute the minutes.
III. Membership Requests
a. There are two new membership requests at this time.
i. Cedar Park Public Library
1. A motion was made to approve the application for Cedar Park
Public Library.

Ayes: Pittman-Hassett, Booker, Pfledderer, Chen, Laney (Burleson Proxy –
Booker)
Nays: None
Abstain: None
Vote: 8-0
Motion Carried.
ii. Denton Public Library
1. A motion was made to approve the application for Denton Public
Library.

Second: Pittman- Hassett
Ayes: Cole, Evans, Booker, Pfledderer, Chen, Laney (Burleson
Proxy – Booker)
Nays: None
Abstain: None
Vote: 8-0
Motion Carried.
IV. Membership Interest
a. The Schertz Public Library and Wylie Public Library were in attendance to
demonstrate interest in joining the interlocal partnership. No questions were
asked.
V. Report from Bibliotheca
a. Doug Monson from Bibliotheca reporting current statistics for the cloudlink
partnership. There are currently 123,651 titles available in the cloudlink library
collection and with the two new partnering libraries, the collection should exceed
140,000 items. The group circulation is 1,109,084 since it began on May 15, 2017.
The group currently shares 17,263 audiobook titles, which is more than many
existing consortia with 50 or so members.
b. Bibliotheca will be in attendance at ALA this year and will offer two special events
which attending members are encouraged to attend.
i. Author event with Colson Whitehead
ii. Library Idea Exchange
c. Bibliotheca also noted that if libraries need end of fiscal year special invoices,
Bibliotheca can work to get those sent to them.
d. Waco Public Library is transferring from audiobooks from RGB Digital over to the
Cloud Library.
VI. TLA Programs
a. Carolyn Booker reported on two programs that were presented on the Cloudlink
partnership at the TLA Conference.
i. Building a Formal Partnership Among Public Libraries
ii. Growing eBook and eAudiobook Collection via Cloudlinking
b. The presentation Growing eBook and eAudiobook Collection vis Cloudlink will also
be presented at CTLC.
VII. Other Business
a. No other business was presented.
VIII. Setting date and time for next meeting
a. Through discussion, the next meeting was set for 2:00 PM on September 16,
2019.
