McKinney Street Phase 2 Denton, Texas Bid Opening:

Receipt of this addendum shall be noted by the bidder on Page 4 of 4 of section “00 41 00-BID FORM” in the McKinney Street Phase Two contract documents.
The purpose of this addendum is to provide an updated bid form for the contractor to
use and to explain the following changes to the bid quantities: 1. Bid item 108 “REMOVE ASPHALT PAVEMENT (8”)” quantity changed from 47,654 SY to 23,386 SY.
2. Bid item 210 “SMALL ROADWAY SIGN” quantity changed from 64 to 55. 3. Bid item 114 “REMOVE & RESET MAILBOX” quantity changed from 2 to 3 to account for brick mailbox on the north side of the street near station 122+00 that
was not picked up by survey. This item includes mailboxes of all types.
4. Added a bid item for 70 LF “26”, ½” STEEL ENCASEMENT PIPE” intended for the 16” water line crossing at station 143+00. This 70 LF was subtracted from the bid item for “18”, ½” STEEL ENCASEMENT PIPE”.
5. Items for “ROCK FOUNDATION” and “SAND BACKFILL” have been removed from the contract. All backfill apart from that mentioned in #5 below is subsidiary to the cost of the pipe. Bid item for “FLOWABLE FILL” remains as a contingency item not to be used without city approval.
6. Bid item added for “CEMENT-STABILIZED BACKFILL”. This is for the existing 8” wastewater line on the south side of the street near station 105+00. See plan sheet 254.
7. Bid item added for “ENCASE EXISTING WASTEWATER MANHOLE IN
CEMENT-STABILIZED SAND”. This is for the existing wastewater manhole on the south side of the street near station 105+00. See plan sheet 254.
