AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE BIDS UNDER IFB 7173
FOR PAINTING SERVICES FOR VARIOUS CITY BUILDINGS AND PROJECTS BY THE
CITY OF DENTON; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (IFB 7173).
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received and tabulated competitive bids for the supply
of painting services for the various departments in the City of Denton (IFB 7173) in accordance
with the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City that
the herein described bids should be rejected; NOW THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The following competitive bids, as described in the "Bid Invitations", "Bid
Proposals" or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent filed
according to the bid number assigned herein (supply of painting services for the various
departments in the City of Denton Bid Number 7173) are hereby rejected:

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents
for the rejection of said bids.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby expressly delegates
the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under the IFB 7173 to the City Manager of the City of Denton, Texas, or his designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
