AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, AUTHORIZING THE CITY M.r`N.i,I. TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH
PASTORE HOULDSWORT i & CO., LLC, FOR THF., DEVELOPMENT OF AN ADVANGED
FORECAST MODEL FOR DME AS SET FORTH IN TI E CONTRACT; PROVIDING FOR THF,
EXPENDITURE i 1a" FUNDS THEREFOR; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFQ
7167 — AWARDED TO PASTORE HOULDSWORTH & CO., LLC, FOR DEVELOPMENT OF
AN ADVANCED FORECAST MODEL AWARDED FOR DME, IN THE THREE (3) YEAR
NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $288,000).
WHEREAS, Pastore Houldsworth & Co., LLC, the services provider (the "Provider") set
forth in this ordinance is being selected as the most highly qualifed on the basis of its demonstrated
competence and qualifications to perform the proposed services; and
W EREAS, the fees under the proposed contract are fair and reasonable and are consistent
with and not higher than the recommended practices and fees published by the professional
associations applicable to the Provider's profession and such fees do not exceed the maximum
provided by law; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. "l`l7c City Manager is authorized to enter into a service contract with Pastore
Houldsworth & Co., LLC, for the development of an Advanced Forecast Model for DME, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to expend funds as required by the attached
contract.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, expressly delegates the authority to
take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City ofDenton under this
ordinance for the development of an Advanced Forecast Model for DME, to the City Manager ofthe
City of Denton, or his designee.
SECTION 4. The fndings in the preamble of this ordinance are incorporated herein by
reference.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
