VARIOUS TYPES OF PIPE FOR WATER LINE CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR, CONCRETE
CYLINDER PRESSURE PIPE, STANDARD AND EMERGENCY REPAIR SERVICES FOR
WATER REINFORCED CONCRETE C°Y..1 F. PIl'E, REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPE,
AND VARIOUS DRAINAGE APPURTANCES SUCH AS BOX CULVERTS, SAFETY END
TREATMENTS FOR REINF RCED CONCRETE PIPE FOR THE WATER UTILITIES,
STREETS AND DRAINAGE DEPARTMENTS; PROVIDING FOR TI EXl'ENDITURE OF
FUNDS THEREFOR; AND PROVIDING AN EFFE"T1: DATE (RFP 7195 -,A.WARDED TO
THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE BIDDER FOR EACH LINE ITEM FOR THREE (3) YEARS,
WITH THE OPTION FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR EXTENSIONS, FOR A
LARGE DIAMETER WATER PIl'E AND REPAIR SERVICES CONTRACT AWARDED TO
RANGELINE PIPELINE SERVICES, LLC, IN THE TOTAL FIVE (5) YEARNOT-TO-EXCEED
AMOUNT OF $7,356,716.20, AND A LARGE DIAMETER REINFORCED CONCRETE
DRAINAGE PII'E AND APPURTENANCES CONTRACT AWARDED TO FORTERRAPIl'E &
PRECAST, LLC, IN THE TOTAL FIVE () YEAR NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF

I H:1 AS, the City has solicited, received, and evaluated competitive proposals for various
types of pipe for water line construction and repair, concrete cylinder pressure pipe, standard and
emergency repair services for water reinforced concrete cylinder pipe, reinforced concrete pipe and
various drainage appurtenances such as box culverts, safety end treatments for reinforced concrete
pipe for the Water Utilities, Streets and Drainage Departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, or a designated employee, has received and reviewed and
recommended that the herein described proposals are the most advantageous to the City considering
the relative importance ofprice and the other evaluation factors included in the request for proposals;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has provided in the City Budget for the appropriation of funds
to be used for the purchase ofthe materials, equipment, supplies or services approved and accepted
herein; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCII.. OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the items in the following numbered request for proposal for materials,
equipment, supplies or servic s, shown in the "Request Proposals" on file in the of ice of the
Purchasing Agent, are hereby accepted and approved as being the most advantageous to the City
considering the relative importance of price and the other evaluation factors included in the request
for proposals.

SECTION 2. That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
submitted proposals, the City accepts the offer ofthe persons submitting the proposals for such items
and agrees to purchase the materials, equipment, supplies or services in accordance with the terms,
specifications, standards, quantities and for the specified sums contained in the Proposal Invitations,
Proposals, and related documents.
SECTION 3. That should the City and person submitting approved and accepted items and of
the submitted proposals wish to enter into a formal written agreement as a result ofthe acceptance,
approval, and awarding ofthe proposals, the City Manager, or his designated representative, is hereby
authorized to execute the written contract; provided that the written cantract is in accordance with
the terms, conditions, specifications, standards, quantities and specified sums contained in the
Proposal and related documents herein approved and accepted.
SECTION 4. The ity Council of the City of De at ar hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City ofDenton
under this ordinance to the City Manager of the City of Denton, or his designee.
SECTION 5. By the acceptance and approval ofthe above enumerated bids, the City Council
hereby authorizes the exp n`rture of funds therefor in the amount and in accordance with the
approved bids.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
