AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS UNDER RFP
6890 FOR THE SUPPLY OF A UTILITY SCALE FOR SOLAR ENERGY FOR THE CITY
OF DENTON; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFP 6890).
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received and evaluated competitive proposals for the
supply of a utility scale for solar energy for the City of Denton (RFP 6890) in accordance with
the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City that
the herein described bids should be rejected; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The following competitive proposals, as described in the "Proposal
Invitations", "Request for Proposal" or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City's
Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (the supply of a utility scale
for solar energy for the City ofDenton Bid Number 6890) are hereby rejected:

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents
for the rejection of said proposals.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under this ordinance to the City Manager of the City of Denton, or his designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
