ORDINANCE NO.20-911
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS UNDER RFP
7288 FOR THE ORACLE HCM IMPLEMENTATION FOR THE CITY OF DENTON
HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFP
7288)
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive proposals for for
the Oracle HCM Implementation for the City of Denton Human Resource Department in the City
of Denton (RFP 7288) in accordance with the procedures of State laws and City ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City staff recommends, and the City Council has determined, that it is in
the best interest of the City that the herein described proposals should be rejected; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The following competitive proposals, as described in the “Request for
Proposal”, “Bid Proposals” or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City’s
Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (for the Oracle HCM
Implementation for the City of Denton Human Resource Department) are hereby rejected:

SECTION 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute all
necessary documents for the rejection of said proposals. The City Manager, or his designee, is
hereby authorized, in his discretion, to readvertise to receive competitive bids, or proceed
otherwise, to procure goods and services described in RFP 7288.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under this ordinance to reject said proposals to the City Manager, or his designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
