SUBJECT
Adoption of a contract with Media Rushworks, LLC dba RUSHWORKS, Contract Number 7234, under
the Government Code, Chapter 791.001, to authorize additional funds to City of Denton for audio and video
upgrades for the DTV platform including the DTV control room, the Council Chamber, and the Work
Session room for the amount of $20; providing for the expenditures of funds therefor; and providing and
effective date (RFP 7234 - awarded to Media Rushworks, LLC dba RUSHWORKS, for a total five (5) year
not-to-exceed amount of $129,220).
BACKGROUND
The contract includes all labor, material, and supervision necessary to complete audio and video upgrades
under the direction of the City of Denton Cable TV-Administration Department. The supplier for the
contract shall bill the entity using the contract directly for all goods and services purchased and each entity
shall be responsible for payments and ensuring the supplier’s compliance with all conditions of the
agreement.
Council approved contract amount of $129,200. The contractor’s proposal amount was $129,220.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (Council, Boards, Commissions)
On January 14, 2020, Council approved the contract with Media Rushworks, LLC dba RUSHWORKS
(Ordinance 20-129).
RECOMMENDATION
Award a contract with Media Rushworks, LLC dba RUSHWORKS, in the non-to-exceed amount of $20.
FISCAL INFORMATION
These services will be funded from the Public, Education and Government (PEG). The amendment sought
is in the amount of $20.
