CORPORATION, AUTHORIZDqG THE APPROVAL OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON AND
DANNENBAUM ENGUqEERING COMPANY – DALLAS, LLC FOR PROFESSIONAL
ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE 2018 DENTON SDEWALKS PROJECT; AMENDING
THE CONTRACT APPROVED BY CITY COUNCEL ON IUNE 5, 2018, IN THE NOT-TO-
EXCEED AMOUNT OF $183,839.97; FIRST AMENDMENT APPROVED BY THE CITY

EFFECTrVE DATE (RFQ 6590-o07 - PROVEDING AN ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURE
AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED Sl 12,879.60, FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT-TO-
EXCEED $432,435.16).
WHEREAS, on June 5, 2018, by Ordinance No. 18-829, the City awarded a contract to
Darmenbaum Engineering Company – Dallas, LLC in the amount of $183,839.97 for the 2018
Denton Sidewalks Project; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2019, by Ordinance No. 19-2082, the City awarded a First
Amendment to Dannenbaum Engineering Company – Dallas, LLC in the amount of $ 135,71 5.59 for
the additional engineering services for the 2018 Denton Sidewalks Project; and
WHEREAS, the additional fees under the proposed Second Amendment are fair and
reasonable and are consistent with and not higher than the recommended practices and fees
applicable to the Provider’s profession and such fees do not exceed the maximum provided by law;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDADVS:
SECTION 1. The Second Amendment, increasing the amount of the contract between the
City and Dannenbaum Engineering Company – Dallas, LLC, which is on file in the office of the
Purchasing Agent, in the amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Nine
and 60/100 Dollars ($ 112,879.60), is hereby approved and the expenditure of funds therefor is
hereby authorized in accordance with said amendment. The total contract amount increases to
$432,435.16
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
