SCOPE OF WORK - STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Vendor/contractor will provide automated washing services for fleet vehicles, police
patrol units, light & medium duty trucks, and other specialty use vehicles. Services are
required to be performed within the Denton City Limits.
Standard vehicle washing service should include but is not limited to:
• Automated washing, rinsing, and drying of all exterior surfaces
• Automated cleaning of tires and wheels
• Automated cleaning of all exterior windows/glass
• Access to vacuum equipment for do-it-yourself cleaning of interiors
Additional services (if offered):
• Full service exterior washing/detailing
• Full service interior vacuuming/detailing
The vehicle exterior, including windows and windshields, must be free of dirt, dust,
residue and water marks after the wash.
Vendor/contractor shall have the capability to invoice individual City departments based
on their monthly usage. Invoices shall include unit numbers, number of washes, cost
per wash and total cost for each department.
Vendor/contractor shall be responsible for providing an appropriate level of on-site
staffing as needed to assist and guide operators through the process.
Vendor/contractor shall be responsible for providing appropriate tools and equipment
necessary to support all aspects of vehicle washing during normal daylight hours.
Vendor/contractor shall be responsible for limiting to the extent possible any damage to
vehicle surfaces/accessories and to repair or replace immediately any vehicle wash
equipment or component determined to be in poor operational condition.
Vendor/contractor’s equipment and services are to be compliant with all Federal, State,
OSHA, and Local applicable regulatory requirements. All work area and storm drains
nearby must be protected from coming in contact with any process wastes and
chemicals used in the cleaning operation with a waste water reclaim/capture system. All
cleaning chemicals should be bio-degradable, environmental friendly, and safe to all
occupants’ health and well-being.
