ADDENDUM #2
The following are changes to the technical specification sheet:
1. The following statement is needed to clarify section J on page 19 of
the technical specification:
The temporary fencing shall be secured from movement by having
the fence posts driven into the ground. Even though the section is
called “Temporary Chan Link Fencing”, This fence shall remain in
place after work is complete.
2. Section E on page 17 of the technical specification states: “Under this
pay item, the Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining the
appropriate demolition permit with the City of Denton, and for paying
the $95 fee.”
Denton Municipal Electric in already in the process of obtaining the
permit. This statement can be disregarded.
Site Visit Notes:
Awarded vendor must:
• Level everything to the foundations.
o Buildings are free from asbestos
• Ensure the site is safe by:
o Filling all holes in foundations with concrete after building demo
o Remove and dispose of all material on site.
• Water, sewer and gas utilities must be removed as outlined by drawings
(refer to demo plan drawing)
o Utilities covered by foundation do not need to be removed.
o City will help awarded vendor reach out to gas company for line
removals
• Signs around buildings
• Grease traps need to be removed and the holes filled with dire and hydro
mulched.
• Cover any bare soil with hydro mulch
• Electricity has been disconnected from both buildings.
• Contractor to coordinate disconnecting and removal of all gas, water,
sewer with appropriate utility. Involve the owner when needed.
• Owner will perform an inspection when contractor is complete.
Items staying:
• All 4 light poles and service to these poles
• Paving and foundation
• Chain-link fence installed by vendor during demolition will need to stay
o Addendum will be issued to change fence requirements
• All trees
Questions:
• Can City remove electric line drops?
o Yes, awarded vendor can request help with line removals
• Will the City help coordinate with next door owner?
o Yes
• Is the City okay with tracks left behind by heavy equipment?
o Yes. Please patch any damage to asphalt by demolition.
NO OTHER CHANGES AT THIS TIME.
