SUBJECT
Adoption of contract through the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Fort Worth, Texas Contract Number
CFW01-20-0144 with Nippon Carbide Industries USA Inc., for the acquisition of services and products for
the Warehouse Department; providing for expenditures of funds therefor; and providing and effective date
(File 7588 – awarded to Nippon Carbide Industries USA Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount of $49,500).
BACKGROUND
Chapter 271.102 of the Local Government Code authorizes local governments to participate in a cooperative
purchasing program with another local government or local cooperative organization. In lieu of competitive
bidding, items and services may be purchased through such agreements as the agreements have already
been bid by the sponsoring entity or agency. Pricing obtained through the Department of Information
Resources (DIR) Cooperative Purchasing Network has been competitively bid and meets the statutory
requirements of Texas Local Government Code 271.102.
RECOMMENDATION
Award a contract with Nippon Carbide Industries USA Inc., for products and services related to CFW01-
20-0144, in the non-to exceed amount of $49,500.
ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT
CFW01-20-0144 with a contract expiration date of 06/02/2025.
FISCAL INFORMATION
This service and products will be used by the Warehouse Department.
