RFP # 6142 – WORK WEAR for the City of Denton DC
QUESTIONS
1. Is it possible to bid on only a portion of this order - such as, the screen printing portion?
Yes, you may bid on only a portion of the line items. Keep in mind that the bid will be scored, and
when possible, awarded by sections not line items.
2. Does "stamp" in fact mean screen printing on the pricing sheet?
For items 66-85, stamped does in fact mean screen print.
3. I’m working on the apparel bid and can I get the 2 logos in PDF format to get a stitch count for
embroidery items please??
(See Attachments) The star in the City of Denton logos needs to be filled in white, not left blank.
4. Also, can you tell me about the stamp in the jeans??
The main purpose of the stamp is to identify jeans and some bibs as property of the City of Denton. The
markings have to be permanent and washable without damaging the garments. We are currently using a
TRODAT PRINTY 4926 SELF INKING RUBBER STAMP with iimaks inks #8384 black ink.
Equivalents will be accepted.
6. Also, where the list of items state “stamped with COD logo on left chest “is that screen printed?
For items 66-85, stamped does in fact mean screen print.
7. On the item line # 121 (cap) requesting the City flag logo. Is that the COD logo or a different one?
It is the City of Denton Logo means (COD)
8. Where is the print located on the garments?
See scope of work. Location is given for each section.
9. Can you send me the logo and text files in an attachment so we can give a more accurate proposal?
See score of work (pages 2-3). Attached is a PDF to aid with digitizing.
10. Some of the items listed state "all available colors" or "any color" either in the pricing sheet or the scope of
work document. Is the city of Denton requesting all available colors for that item to be produced for that item's
quantity given in the pricing sheet or will any of the listed colors on the scope of work document suffice?
The estimated purchased quantity is for that style in various colors. We are requesting pricing for all available
colors in that style. For example, if the estimated quantity for Jacket A is 100, and Jacket A is made in colors A,
B and C. We might purchase 75 in color A, 10 in color B, and 15 in color C. We may or may not order every
available color, but we want the option to be available and pricing to be consistent. We need all colors available
for that style to be available to us at all times. We will chose the color at the time of purchase.

QUESTIONS
11. For example Section A: Pants, items 3-9, state "any color" in the pricing sheet but, have "all available
colors" stated in the scope of work. Are we given the opportunity to choose the color ourself or are those
colors what we should have in stock or accessible for the city of Denton?
We need all colors available for that style to be available to us at all times. We will chose the color at
the time of purchase.
12. Are all these items to be produced on an as need basis or one large lump sum? If awarded, will we
receive contact with the specific colors and sizes needed?
Items will be ordered on as need basis. You will receive POs based on the demand and the popularity
of the item.
13. Section A Pants: Item #'s 1-9 are to be stamped with the "Property of the City of Denton" inside the
pants. Can you specify where inside the pants for example, the waist band, the leg, or anywhere inside?
Waist band or pocket.
14. According to the Pricing sheet Section E Tops: Item #'s 66-79 are to be printed with COD logo on
the left chest 3"x 2". The print usually goes above the pocket, is that sufficient? The pricing sheets also
states, "Item #'s 66-73 are to be printed with the DME Logo on the back 10.5" x 7.5"". So items 66-73
will be printed front and back and items 74-81 will only be printed on the front only.
Items 66-81: COD Logo should be screen-printed above pocket, or where the pocket would be if it is
pocket less.
Items 82-85: DME Logo should be screen-printed on the back only, no front logo.
Items 86-89: DME Logo should be embroidered on the left chest above pocket.
15. On the other hand, the Scope of Work Document states, Items 66-81: Shirts must be stamped with
COD logo left chest and, "Items 82-84: Shirts must be stamped on back with DME logo". What items
are supposed to be printed on the front only, what items are to be printed on the back only, and what
items are printed front and back?
Items 66-81: COD Logo should be screen-printed above pocket, or where the pocket would be if it is
pocket less.
Items 82-85: DME Logo should be screen-printed on the back only, no front logo.
Items 86-89: DME Logo should be embroidered on the left chest above pocket.
16. SECTION F – OVERALLS:
The scope of work document states, "All overalls must be stamped property of the City of Denton" It
does not specify where the print is located whether inside or out. Can you specify where the print
belongs on the overalls if outside, or where inside, for example the waist band, the leg, anywhere
inside?
Items 90-95: MARKED ON THE INSIDE WITH "PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF DENTON"
STAMP. Individual items must be marked/stamped on the inside either pocket or waist band works as
long as it is legible.
Items 96-97: EMBROIDERED WITH COD LOGO ON CHEST

QUESTIONS
17. SECTION L – JEANS:
The scope of work states, "All overalls must be stamped property of the City of Denton". Finally it
states, "Each item will be STAMPED inside with: “PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF DENTON”" is
this statement referring to all items in the bid or just those sections that specify?
It finally states in section L because it only applies to section L. Individual items must be
marked/stamped on the inside either pocket or waist band works as long as it is legible.
18. Orders will there be a big order to start off at the beginning?
Orders will be placed as items are needed. You may receive a couple of big orders a year, or small
orders throughout the year. It depends on our needs that year.
19. What should the Stamp say and where should it be located: Property of City of Denton (see SOW
page 3 for a sample).
It should be placed inside the garment. It should be placed in a visible area such as a pocket or
waistband.
Current stamp being used:
Current font being used: Times New Roman
Current font size being used: 20
