ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS UNDER RFP
7205 FOR UTILITY SCALE WIND ENERGY FOR DENTON MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFP 7205).
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive proposals to
evaluate the potential for Utility Scale Wind Energy for Denton Municipal Electric (RFP 7205)
in accordance with the procedures of state laws and the City’s ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City staff recommends and the City Council has determined that it is in
the best interest of the City that the herein described proposals should be rejected; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The following competitive proposals, as described in the “Proposal
Invitations”, “Request for Proposal” or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City’s
Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein (RFP 7205 – Utility Scale
Wind Energy for Denton Municipal Electric), are hereby rejected:

SECTION 2. The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized to execute all
necessary documents for the rejection of said proposals.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton, hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under this ordinance to the City Manager of the City of Denton, or their designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
