City of Denton RFP requested a full-service contractor capable of
providing overhead line construction & maintenance services
Services include, but are not limited to, installation of new or
replacement of existing overhead and underground electrical facilities
on the system
Electrical construction material will be provided by the CITY of Denton.

Main utilization of this contract will be pole replacements
2019 DME initiated a pole inspections project that inspected the existing 12,000 poles within DME’s infrastructure supporting 352 miles of overhead conductor.
Poles range in date of installation from 1960’s to present date
DME has inspected 75% of its overhead infrastructure to date
Identified 1,199 poles to be replaced having replaced 170 to date
Overhead constructed lines make up 43% of DME’s distribution lines
