Exhibit 1 - Agenda Information SheetCity of Denton AGENDA INFORMATION SHEET DEPARTMENT: Procurement & Compliance ACM: David Gaines DATE: January 4, 2022 SUBJECT Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group, LLC, through the Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Network Contract # 651-21, for the purchase of equipment for fire apparatuses for the Fire Department; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date. (File 7890 – awarded to Siddons-Martin Emergency Group, LLC, in the five (5) year not-to- exceed amount of $1,510,000.00). INFORMATION/BACKGROUND The City of Denton Fire Department has standardized equipment on all fire apparatuses to Pierce manufacturing to create efficiencies with service, maintenance, and parts supplies available through the local vendor, Siddons–Martin Emergency Group, LLC. Siddons-Martin Emergency Group is local and will be able to provide maintenance or replace any of our equipment if needed in the future. Equipment commonly purchased for an apparatus includes a gas monitor, rescue tools, generator, various hoses, thermal imager, valves, and fittings. Funding for equipment per apparatus is budgeted for each initial apparatus purchase. Pricing obtained through the Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Network has been competitively bid and meets the statutory requirements of Texas Local Government Code 271.102. PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS) On February 1, 2005, Council approved the interlocal agreement with the Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Network (Ordinance 2005-034). RECOMMENDATION Award a contract with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group, LLC, for the purchase of equipment for fire apparatuses for the Fire Department, in a five (5) not-to-exceed amount of $1,510,000.
