2017, in the not-to-exceed amount of $750,000.00; amended by Amendment 1 approved by Purchasing;
said second amendment to continue to provide tennis instruction, lessons, and tournaments for the Parks
and Recreation Department; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date
(RFP 6343 – providing for an additional second amendment expenditure amount not-to-exceed $80,000.00,
with the total contract amount not-to-exceed $879,500.00).
INFORMATION/BACKGROUND
Gray Event Management, LLC has been providing programs at the Goldfield Tennis Center since June of
2009. They have built a strong connection with the community while increasing the revenue for the center.
The recent revenue history is as follows:
• FY 2017-2018 $171,882
• FY 2018-2019 $213,990
• FY 2019-2020 $139,751
• FY 2020-2021 $274,113
• FY 2021-Present $85,539
Gray Event Management, LLC has shown an increase in revenue every year of the current contract with the
exception of the 2019-2020 year. This was due to the center being closed at the early stages of the Covid-
19 pandemic. Our contract states that Gray Event receives 80% of the revenue generated from its programs
and classes. Due to the increase in participation in their programs, the revenue generated has grown
exponentially.
