CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON AND SHI GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS.[NC., AMENDING THE CONTRACT APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL ON MAY 3, 2022. TOADD TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS PRODUCTS & SERVICES THROUGH THE INTERLOCAL
PURCHASING SYSTEM (TIPS) COOPERATIVE PROGRAM CONTRACT # 200105;PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE (FILE 7983 – PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE ORDINANCE
TO ADD THE TIPS COOPERATIVE PROGRAM CONTRACT #200105).
WHEREAS, on May 3, 2022, City Council awarded a contract to SHI Government
Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $1,800,000.00, for Apple Branded Products and Related Services,
Miscellaneous Information Technology (IT) Hardware Peripherals, Components and Related
Services, Cloud Services, Information Technology Security (ITS) Hardware, Software and
Services, Software Products, Software Services, Software as a Service (SaaS), and EnterpriseResource Planning (ERP) Software Modules Products and Services, Technology Catalog
Solutions and Technology Equipment, Products, Services, and Software; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the action taken herein is in the public interest;NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The First Amendment, adding the cooperative contract from The Interlocal
Purchasing System (TIPS) Cooperative Program Contract # 200105 to the agreement between the
City and SHI Government Solutions, Inc., which is on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent, is
hereby approved, and the expenditure of funds therefor is hereby authorized in accordance with said
amendment which shall be effective upon the execution of the amendment attached hereto.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
