This Declaration of an Emergency is for rebuilt distribution transformers needed to help meet
the growing need DME has for transformers. Supply chain issues continue to worsen and
DME now is experiencing lead times, from order to receiving, approaching 76 weeks or
longer. DME is at risk of dropping below minimum transformer levels to meet our outage and
maintenance needs and help with inventory requirements associated with new developments.
This purchase will help secure additional transformers to help meet current needs.
