Saturated Soils 36 a. If in-situ soils consistently demonstrate that they are greater than 4 percentage 37 points over optimum moisture content, the soils are considered saturated. 38 b. Flooding the trench or water jetting is strictly prohibited. 39 c. If saturated soils are identified in the Drawings or Geotechnical Report in the 40 Appendix, Contractor shall proceed with Work following all backfill 41 procedures outlined in the Drawings for areas of soil saturation greater than 4 42 percentage points above optimum moisture content.. 43 d. If saturated soils are encountered during Work but not identified in Drawings or 44 Geotechnical Report in the Appendix: 45 1) The Contractor shall: 46 a) Immediately notify the City. 47 ENGINEERING SERVICES CERTIFICATION: THIS CITY OF DENTON STANDARD DETAIL SHEET IS AUTHORIZED FOR USE IN THIS PROJECT BY THE ENGINEER WHOSE SEAL APPEARS HEREON, AND WHO CERTIFIES THE CONTENT OF THE DETAILS AND NOTES HEREIN HAVE NOT BEEN ALTERED AND ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITY FOR APPROPRIATE USE OF THE STANDARDS WITHIN THIS SHEET.
