INFORMATION/BACKGROUND
The Technology Services Department (TS) is seeking to obtain an additional cooperative contract vendor
for Information Technology (IT) temporary labor positions. With the difficulties in filling existing
vacancies, using this contract is important to maintain smooth technology service delivery. This contract
provides Tech Services with an alternate vendor to locate talent. The City of Denton currently has a contract
with GTS to provide the same services but has experienced challenges with locating talent. This additional
contract should provide for more options and flexibility.
This contract has 72 different IT positions, across 11 functional areas including help desk, and application
support. For each position, the contract provides different levels of experience and skills at various prices.
TS staff, through a process of elimination, selected TEKsystems, Inc. out of the 161 vendors that are
registered with DIR to provide labor services under this contract.
