Exhibit 1 - Agenda Information SheetCity of Denton _____________________________________________________________________________________ AGENDA INFORMATION SHEET DEPARTMENT: Procurement ACM: Cassey Ogden DATE: July 16, 2024 SUBJECT Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with TEKSystems, Inc., through the Department of Information Resources (DIR) Cooperative Contract No. DIR-CPO-4638, for Information Technology staff augmentation services for the Technology Services Department; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (File 8503 – awarded to TEKSystems, Inc., for one (1) year, with the option for four (4) additional one (1) year extensions, in the total five (5) year not-to-exceed amount of $1,900,000.00). INFORMATION/BACKGROUND The Technology Services Department (TS) is seeking to obtain an additional cooperative contract vendor for Information Technology (IT) temporary labor positions. With the difficulties in filling existing vacancies, using this contract is important to maintain smooth technology service delivery. This contract provides Tech Services with an alternate vendor to locate talent. The City of Denton currently has a contract with GTS to provide the same services but has experienced challenges with locating talent. This additional contract should provide for more options and flexibility. This contract has 72 different IT positions, across 11 functional areas including help desk, and application support. For each position, the contract provides different levels of experience and skills at various prices. TS staff, through a process of elimination, selected TEKsystems, Inc. out of the 161 vendors that are registered with DIR to provide labor services under this contract. McKinney Street Denton, Texas www.cityofdenton.com Pricing obtained through the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Cooperative Purchasing Network has been competitively bid and meets the statutory requirements of Texas Local Government Code 271.102. RECOMMENDATION Award a contract with TEKSytems, Inc., for Information Technology staff augmentation services for the Technology Services Department, one (1) year, with the option for four (4) additional one (1) year extensions, in the total five (5) year not-to-exceed amount of $1,900,000. ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT This is an initial one (1) year contract with options to extend the contract for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, with all terms and conditions remaining the same. This DIR contract expires on August 31, 2024. FISCAL INFORMATION These services will be funded through the Technology Services Operating Budget on an as-needed basis. The City will only pay for services rendered and is not obligated to pay the full contract amount unless needed.
