Ray Roberts Water Treatment Plant
•The Ray Roberts Water Treatment (RRWTP) was placed into service in 2002
and has a treatment capacity of 20 million gallons a day (MGD).
•To meet the growing water demands, the
City is planning on increasing treatment capacity of the plant by an additional 20
MGD.

Major Project Components
This Project includes the following:
•Initial Pilot testing for Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) approval of
Membrane Filtration at the location.
•Design of the Low-Pressure Membrane Process Train with an initial capacity of 20 MGD.
•Membrane Process Building designed to accommodate an additional 30 MGD capacity for
future demand.
•Design of additional ancillary equipment needed for the initial phase of expansion.

Project Delivery
•Staff will be utilizing the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) alternate delivery method for the
project to achieve optimized schedule coordination, cost modeling, and stakeholder engagement, which mitigates increasing costs and prioritizes overall cost value.
•Staff is pursuing a low-interest loan through the Texas Water Development Board to fully fund the
expansion project. The consultant will assist the City with the TWDB funding process from pre-
application through post-application activities.

•Design Contract amount: $21,000,000.
