PSA 7599-013 THE STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF DENTON § THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT 7599-013 (“Amendment”) by and between the City of Denton, Texas (“City”) and HDR Engineering, Inc. (“Engineer”); to that certain contract executed on August 1, 2023, in the original not-to-exceed amount of $240,485 (the “Agreement”); for services related to Hickory Creek Lighting Design. WHEREAS, the City deems it necessary to further expand the services provided by Engineer to the City pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, and to provide an additional not-to-exceed amount of $49,100 with this Amendment for an aggregate not-to-exceed amount of $289,585; and FURTHERMORE, the City deems it necessary to further expand the goods/services provided by Engineer to the City; NOW THEREFORE, the City and Engineer (hereafter collectively referred to as the “Parties”), in consideration of their mutual promises and covenants, as well as for other good and valuable considerations, do hereby AGREE to the following Amendment, which amends the following terms and conditions of the said Agreement, to wit: 1. The additional services described in Exhibit “A” of this Amendment, attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, for professional services related to the Hickory Creek Lighting Design Project, are hereby authorized to be performed by Engineer. For and in consideration of the additional services to be performed by Engineer, the City agrees to pay, based on the cost estimate detail attached as Exhibit “B” to this Amendment, attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, a total fee, including reimbursement for non-labor expenses an amount not to exceed $49,100. 2. This Amendment modifies the Agreement amount to provide an additional $49,100 for the additional services with a revised aggregate not to exceed total of $289,585. The Parties hereto agree, that except as specifically provided for by this Amendment, that all of the terms, covenants, conditions, agreements, rights, responsibilities, and obligations of the Parties, set forth in the Agreement remain in full force and effect. This scope of services is submitted to provide additional design services redesign of circuitry to utilize existing infrastructure, update to the latest TxDOT specifications, and provide construction phase services to respond to RFI’s as needed. I. Project Management, Coordination, and Data Collection: Stage I will involve the following tasks including project management and coordination. · Coordinate with the City to discuss and review scope of work, establish project schedule, and provide updates on project progress. · Coordinate with owners of overhead power for use in circuitry design. II. Photometrics Analysis: Not included as part of this supplemental. III. Lighting Design: Stage III will involve the following tasks to prepare continuous lighting design plans (11”x17”) including design supporting studies and/or calculations for this project. · Design update utilizing existing overhead infrastructure and power systems · Update to latest TxDOT specifications · Coordinate with local electric power provider to establish locations for power service drops, proposed circuits, and luminaire arm attachment to existing power poles. · Design electric services for illumination to use Enclosure type of Aluminum (AL) or Stainless Steel (SS). For overhead drops the Service Support Type shall be Steel Pole (SP). · Prepare draft sets of plans and quantity estimates for the proposed lighting plans for review by the City. Draft plans will include completed continuous lighting plans including circuit wiring diagrams showing the number of luminaires on each circuit, electrical conductors, length of runs, and power service assemblies. · Submittals/Deliverables for City review shall be consistent with the content and format described as follows. o 60% Plans:  Design of roadway Illumination including preliminary placement of illumination assemblies, conduits, ground boxes, and electrical services. Quantity Summary Sheets shall be located in the plans following the General Notes.  Design electrical services including electrical service data, breaker size, service entrance conductors, and finalized electrical service locations.  Construction Estimate – The Consultant shall develop and submit an up-to- date estimate of construction cost based off the quantities shown in the submitted plans o 90% Plans shall include the following on top of the material included in the 60% submittal:  Voltage Drop Calculations performed to determine electrical and ground conductor sizing for copper wiring.  Conduit fill Calculations performed for proposed Illumination conduits.  Details and Standards — Appropriate details and standards shall be compiled and inserted into the plans following the section in which the detail or standard is applied. Additional foundation details shall be developed as required for the decorative poles  Circuit Diagrams showing conduit and cable lengths and electrical service information.  Special Specifications and Detail sheets shall be prepared, if applicable and deemed needed. o 100% Plans:  Closeout of remaining comments. o Final Design / Ready for Construction Plans:  Signed and Sealed 11” x 17” Design Plans. · Meet with the City/TxDOT to review draft submittal comments. One (1) meeting is assumed for budget purposes. · The final submittal will include one hard copy and one electronic copy. IV. Bid Book Preparation and Bid Support: · Prepare document bid book and prepare item descriptions according to city of Denton standards and item descriptions (TxDOT where applicable).  It is assumed that the City’s bid documents will not need to be rewritten to accommodate federal funding requirements from the State. · Assist the City staff in advertising for bids.
