Exhibit 1 - Agenda Information SheetCity of Denton _____________________________________________________________________________________ AGENDA INFORMATION SHEET DEPARTMENT: Procurement ACM: Christine Taylor DATE: February 18, 2025 SUBJECT Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, rejecting any and all competitive proposals under RFP 8556 for vending machine and micro market services for the Purchasing Department; and providing an effective date (RFP 8556). INFORMATION/BACKGROUND The Purchasing Department manages the vending machine and micro market services contract for the City. The City has around 50 vending machines and one micro market located at various City facilities. A Request for Proposals for these services was issued on May 3, 2024, and three (3) proposals were received. After the evaluation of the proposals, the City started negotiations with the highest-ranked vendor. During the negotiation process, the City decided it would be best to reject all proposals, and evaluate options for alternate services, and re-issue the solicitation. To continue to have vending services available to the public and the staff while we re-evaluate we will be requesting to extend the current contract for a one-year term. In accordance with the Local Government Code 252.043, the City Council may reject any and all bids. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends rejection of all proposals for RFP 8556 for vending machine and micro market services.
