25-287 - 8414 - Rejection Ordinance ExecutedORDINANCE NO. 25-287 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION. REJECTING ANY AND ALL COMPETITIVE STATEMENTS UNDER RFQ 8414 FOR THE MUNICIPAL COMPLEX CONCEPT FOR THE CAPITAL PROJECTS DEPARTMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (RFQ 8414). WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received, and tabulated competitive statements for the Municipal Complex Concept for the Capital Projects Department (RFQ 8414) in accordance with the procedures of state laws and city ordinances; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City that the herein described proposals should be rejected; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDArNS: SECTION 1. All competitive statements, as described in the “Request for Qualifications”, “Bid Proposals” or plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City’s Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned herein for the Municipal Complex Concept for the Capital Projects Department are hereby rejected. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents for the rejection of said statements. The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized, in their discretion, to re-advertise to receive competitive statements, or proceed otherwise, to procure goods and services described in RFQ 8414. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton hereby expressly delegates the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of Denton under the RFQ 8414 to the City Manager of the City of Denton, or their designee. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval. The motion to approve this ordinance was made by Joe Holland and seconded by Brandon Chase McGee.
