BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
AND TEAGUE NALL AND PERKINS, INC.

THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT 7850-007 (“Amendment”) by
and between the City of Denton, Texas (“City”) and Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc.
(“Architect”); to that certain contract executed on August 15, 2023, in the original not-to-
exceed amount of $251,600 (the “Original Agreement”); amended on May 13, 2024 in the
additional amount of $19,300 aggregating a not-to-exceed amount of $270,900 (the “First
Amendment”); (collectively, the Original Agreement and the First Amendment are the
“Agreement”) for services related to the Denia Park Renovation Project.
WHEREAS, the City deems it necessary to further expand the services provided by
Architect to the City pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, and to provide an additional
not-to-exceed amount $6,500 with this Amendment for an aggregate not-to-exceed amount
of $277,400; and
FURTHERMORE, the City deems it necessary to further expand the goods/services
provided by Architect to the City;
NOW THEREFORE, the City and Architect (hereafter collectively referred to as the
“Parties”), in consideration of their mutual promises and covenants, as well as for other
good and valuable considerations, do hereby AGREE to the following Amendment, which
amends the following terms and conditions of the said Agreement, to wit:
1. The additional services described in Exhibit “A” of this Amendment, attached
hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, for professional services related to
the Denia Park Renovations, are hereby authorized to be performed by Architect.
For and in consideration of the additional services to be performed by Architect,
the City agrees to pay, based on the cost estimate detail attached as Exhibit “A”, a
total fee, including reimbursement for non-labor expenses an amount not to exceed
$6,500.
2. This Amendment modifies the Agreement amount to provide an additional $6,500
for the additional services with a revised aggregate not to exceed total of $277,400.

The Parties hereto agree, that except as specifically provided for by this Amendment, that
all of the terms, covenants, conditions, agreements, rights, responsibilities, and obligations
of the Parties, set forth in the Agreement remain in full force and effect.

Amendment electronically, by and through their respective duly authorized representatives

Dear Mr. Brumfield,
As discussed, the requested services for extensive irrigation revisions were not scoped as part of the
current project. These services will require additional design work. We request an additional $6,500
(Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars) for the irrigation design revisions of Denia Park irrigation design.
See the attached scope for details. Total fee for additional services to be provided is $6,500 (Six
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars).

SCOPE
LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION PLAN REVISIONS: CONSULTANT will provide
revisions to the Landscape Irrigation Plan that consists of a fully automated
irrigation system to service to the areas highlighted including the softball fields
and area adjacent to the recreation center as identified in the attached
exhibit.
Included in this item:
Coordination of CLIENT review of plans prepared as part of this item.
Construction Documents: Irrigation Plan depicting locations of all irrigation
components, including controllers, main lines, valves, heads and specialty items.
Plans to include a level sufficient to demonstrate design intent and allow the
construction thereof, including materials and quantity schedules, pipe sizing,
notes and technical installation details. Technical specifications will be prepared
for irrigation components.
Coordination with the CLIENT to pass coordinate tap location(s), meter
placement and meter size required.
Coordination with required sleeves for irrigation service access to enclosed or
raised planting structures, or through walls and footings.
Coordination with Structural Engineer related to allowable irrigation adjacent to
structural footings and slabs.
Coordination to assure that sleeves for irrigation system are accounted for on
appropriate plan sheets.
Coordination with the CLIENT to provide electrical service to the irrigation
controller.
Not included in this item:
Areas not identified in the attached exhibit.
Pump systems and filters required for use of non-potable water and Stormwater
recapture. These services can be provided as a Special Service.

you certain written notices or disclosures. Described below are the terms and conditions for
providing to you such notices and disclosures electronically through your DocuSign, Inc.
(DocuSign) Express user account. Please read the information below carefully and thoroughly,
and if you can access this information electronically to your satisfaction and agree to these terms

Getting paper copies
At any time, you may request from us a paper copy of any record provided or made available

Withdrawing your consent
