INFORMATION/BACKGROUND
The Water Production and Water Reclamation Departments rely on high-speed pumps and equipment that
are critical to their respective operations. Early detection of potential issues is crucial to minimizing costly
repairs and ensuring reliable service delivery.
The Water Reclamation Department has successfully implemented a predictive maintenance program since
1997. This program utilizes advanced techniques such as Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, and Thermal
Imaging to proactively assess the condition of critical equipment, including wastewater pumps, electrical
gear, and aeration blowers.
A specialized contractor conducts on-site assessments using cutting-edge equipment and provides user-
friendly reports. These reports enable timely corrective action, extending the service life of these valuable
assets and significantly reducing the risk of unexpected failures and costly emergency repairs.
