SUBJECT
Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation,
rejecting any and all competitive proposals under RFP 8367 for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
Solution for the Technology Services Department; and providing an effective date (RFP 8367).
INFORMATION/BACKGROUND
The City of Denton conducted an RFP to request proposals from multiple vendors to replace the City’s
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software. As outlined in the June 17, 2025 budget work session, the
City of Denton is projecting a General Fund budget deficit in the current and upcoming fiscal year. Due to
this projection, a change in organizational priorities and a reduction in discretionary spending are necessary.
This project is being paused temporarily and will be re-evaluated at a later date. The current systems are
stable for the next few years and will be re-evaluated as part of the budget process moving forward.
In accordance with the Local Government Code 252.043, the City Council may reject any and all proposals.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the rejection of all proposals for the EAM replacement (RFP 8367).
