BACKGROUND:
Denton is a full-service municipality that provides a wide range of essential services, including law
enforcement, fire safety, paramedics/rescue, refuse collection, sanitary landfill, electric distribution and
transmission, water, wastewater, storm sewer, animal control, parks/recreation, library, and airport
services.
With a benefits eligible workforce of approximately 1,750 employees (positions working 30+ hours/week),
the City of Denton is dedicated to providing best in class benefit plans for employees and their families
at an affordable cost. We are currently seeking bids for fully insured visions plans.
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
The City is requesting proposals for visions plans as noted below. These plans should offer designs that
meet or exceed our current offerings. Current offerings can be found in the Vision Questionnaire Excel
file in the Attachments Tab. Bidders may also submit proposals for RFP #8798 for fully insured dental
plans.
Vision:
• A minimum of two options
• Performance guarantees focusing on customer service and network management and expansion
• Minimum 3-year rate guarantee
• No cost for implementation communications, including Health Fair attendance
• Designated account manager • Safety Eyeglass program
