7639 - Denton Energy Center Waste ServicesTechnical SpecsIFB 7639 Page 1 of 2 IFB 7639 Technical Specifications Denton Energy Center Waste Services A. PURPOSE The City of Denton is providing information that will allow prospective vendors to prepare submissions to supply waste removal & disposal services for the Denton Energy Center. The products will be removed from the Denton Energy Center, which is located at 8161 Jim Christal Road, Denton TX, 76207. Product disposal quantity is an estimate of the contract term and not a guaranteed quantity but is on an as needed basis dependent on equipment operation, condemning limits of specific products, and maintenance activities. B. SUBMISSIONS Submissions shall be provided using Ionwave, with supporting documentation as required. Additional information clarifying the vendor’s waste services may be attached to their submission. Pricing shall include all costs to remove all waste as specified in this specification. Any special fees or commissions, and all freight for removal from the Denton Energy Center must be included in the quoted price. Service pricing shall be mutually exclusive; thus, the City of Denton reserves the right to choose the best valued service from different vendors. C. QUALITY CONTROL The Vendor shall be responsible for the quality control of the removal processes to assure that all requirements of the specifications, state and local requirements are met. D. WRITTEN WARRANTY and GUARANTEES Written guarantees shall include any limitations as to the nature of failure or time limitations. The guarantee shall begin upon receipt of the service. Guarantees shall indicate whether it is made on a full replacement basis or a prorated basis and if prorated then what are the terms. The Manufacturer/Supplier guarantees that the services furnished under this specification meets specifications and quality. Services that does not meet specifications & quality will be replaced by the Manufacturer/Supplier shall be free of charge F.O.B. at the same delivery point called for in the original order. IFB 7639 Page 2 of 2 E. SPECIAL SERVICES REQUIREMENTS Expected pickup of the products varies based on actual notification date not to exceed business days. Emergency pickups will be on an as needed basis and ordered as such. Pickups can be made at any time to Denton Energy Center, 8161 Jim Christal Road, Denton, TX 76207. The location does have bulk and drum storage for waste for storage and as such waste provider will need to furnish, hoses and fittings needed for bulk pickup and necessary vac truck for sucking product from barrels. F. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS The products listed below, may be requested to be removed from the Denton Energy Center. The contractor is required to always possess current insurance coverages to include pollution coverage as defined by the City of Denton Bidder qualifications. Contractor will need to possess the required DOT, EPA, and TCEQ qualifications and be legally able to transport and dispose of the below materials within the State of Texas. The Contractor shall assume responsibility of the products for disposal when loading to their transport vehicle begins to the proper disposal destination for the product removed from the Denton Energy Center. Used Oil Used Oil Filters Used Absorbent’s (all kinds) Oily water mixture Used Coolant mixture (Mono Propylene Glycol, Organic Corrosion Inhibitor, water) Oily/separator solid waste Open & Closed top 55gallon drum rental / exchange All Federal, State, and Local Laws must be meet and vendor is to supply all waste documentation manifests to the City of Denton. G. ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS DME will only accept submissions from Vendors authorized for the safe environmentally friendly removal of waste products in reference to the specifications & quality.
