SCOPE OF WORK (SOW)
Steel Containers for Commerical Customers
This Scope of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for the service provider to the City of
Denton Solid Waste Department. The selected Contractor will be responsible for the provision,
maintenance, and management of various steel refuse containers.
This SOW serves as a foundational document; its final form will be formalized upon the
selection of the successful Contractor. The Contractor’s proposal submitted in response to this
SOW shall clearly articulate their understanding of these objectives and requirements, along with
a detailed outline of their proposed processes to deliver the specified products and services.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES & EXPECTATIONS
Ensure the consistent and timely supply of various steel refuse containers to meet the
ongoing operational needs of the City of Denton Solid Waste Department.
Secure expert technical support, maintenance, and repair services for compactors and
other refuse containers to minimize operational downtime and extend asset lifespan.
Consolidate these critical container-related services under a single vendor to achieve
enhanced efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and streamlined operations for the City.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The selected Contractor shall provide, at a minimum, the following services on an as-needed
basis over the term of the contract:
1.a. Refuse Container Supply ("One-Stop-Shop")
The Contractor shall act as a "one-stop shop" provider for a wide range of steel refuse containers,
including but not limited to front-load dumpsters, roll-off containers, and compactors, or other
specialized bins as required. This comprehensive service includes:
Pricing: Submission of detailed and competitive pricing for all available container types.
Delivery Timeframe: Commitment to clear, achievable, and reliable delivery schedules
for all containers requested by the City.
Warranty: Provision of comprehensive warranty terms covering both materials and
workmanship for all supplied containers.
Container Type Capability: Demonstration of the capability to supply a full spectrum of
container sizes and configurations to meet the diverse operational requirements of the
City.
1.b. Compactor and Container Technical Support
The Contractor shall provide comprehensive technical support for compactors (addressing
electrical, mechanical, and computer issues) and other refuse containers. This includes:
Technical Support: Provision of qualified technicians for on-call diagnosis and repair of
compactor and container issues.
CITY OF DENTON RESPONSIBILITIES
The City of Denton Solid Waste Department will undertake the following responsibilities:
Provide clear and timely requests for container supply and maintenance/repair services.
Provide necessary access to facilities for deliveries and on-site service performance.
Process invoices in a timely manner according to agreed-upon contract terms.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated by a Competitive Selection Committee which will evaluate and
rank proposals on criteria listed below. The Competitive Selection Committee will be
comprised of appropriate City personnel. The criteria are itemized with their respective
weights for a maximum total of one hundred (100) points per Competitive Selection
Committee member.
