HomeMy WebLinkAboutExhibit 1 - Agenda Information SheetCity of Denton _____________________________________________________________________________________ AGENDA INFORMATION SHEET DEPARTMENT: Procurement ACM: Christine Taylor DATE: February 17, 2026 SUBJECT Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Ennis-Flint, Inc. dba Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions, for the purchase of pavement markings for the Traffic Department to be stocked in the City of Denton Warehouse; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (IFB 8952 – awarded to Ennis-Flint, Inc. dba Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions, for one (1) year, with the option for four (4) additional one (1) year extensions, in the total five (5) year not-to-exceed amount of $475,000.00). STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT This action supports Key Focus Area: Enhance Infrastructure and Mobility. INFORMATION/BACKGROUND This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the supply of items that are stocked in the Warehouse for ease of accessibility to be used by the Traffic Department in their daily operations, and for the repair and maintenance of the streets. These pavement markers are used in everyday commuting to provide messages to roadway users. They are used on roads to mark bike lanes, if a driver can pass, and to indicate which part of the road to use, etc. Materials will be ordered on an as-needed basis to maintain appropriate stocking levels in the City’s Warehouse. As these commodities are “common stock items” in the Warehouse working capital inventory under the City of Denton General Government. In addition, specifications were placed on the Procurement website for prospective suppliers to download, and advertised in the local newspaper. City Hall 215 E. FISCAL INFORMATION These items will be funded out of the Warehouse Working Capital account, stocked in the Warehouse, and charged back to the using department as needed. The budgeted amount for this item is $475,000.
