Attention of all Prospective Respondents/Plan Holders is directed to the following modifications
to the referenced Project Manual/Specifications and Drawings. This Addendum forms a part of,
and shall be attached to the Project Manual/Specifications, and modifies the original Request
for Proposals dated March 9, 2017 as noted below:
I. CHANGES TO EXHIBIT 1 – PRICING SHEET
A. Item 18 has been revised to require a quantity of 400 LF. Refer to item III.B below.
B. Item A5 has been revised. Pavement Type D and A were inadvertently transposed. Refer to Item
III. A below. A revised Pricing Sheet is included with this Addendum.
II. CHANGES TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
A. Specification Section 11300 – Booster Pumps
1. Inset Section 1.3 – Acceptable Manufacturers to read as follows:

IV. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A. Geotechnical Information
1. A geotechnical investigation was conducted for the ground storage tank site. A copy of this
report is attached for review.
2. A geotechnical investigation was not conducted in the vicinity of the screening wall. However,
provided with this Addendum for review, are several boring logs in the vicinity of the screening
wall.

SECTION 13100 – MEMBRANE LINED TANK
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes:
1. Membrane lined round steel tank and appurtenances.
2. All labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required and install tank and
appurtenances in locations as shown on Drawings.
B. Scope:
1. Furnish and install one membrane lined steel water storage tank, with
secondary membrane containment, floating cover, through-wall connections,
foundation and all other required appurtenances.
2. Tank materials shall be compatible with the storage of municipal solid waste
landfill leachate and stormwater.
3. Tank capacity shall be 230,000- to 250,000 gallons.
4. Tank diameter shall be 36-ft to 41’6”-ft.

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
A. All tank components shall be supplied by a single manufacturer, fully experienced,
reputable, and qualified in manufacture of items to furnish. Design, construct, and
install equipment in accordance with best practices and methods and comply with
these Specifications and manufacturer instructions.
B. Equipment to consist of parts designed to act as a unit by a manufacturer
experienced in design, construction, and operation of equipment for required
purpose.
1.3 SUBMITTALS
A. Shop drawings shall be submitted to Engineer for approval in accordance with
Division 01 and include dimensioning, methods, and locations of supports and
fittings, and technical specifications for all equipment to be furnished.

2.2 MATERIALS
A. Tank shell shall be designed to AWWA standards for hydrostatic pressure and for
wind loading in accordance with local codes and ordinances. Seismic design tank
shells shall be in accordance with local conditions.
B. Tank capacity shall be 230,000- to 250,000 gallons
C. Tank diameter shall be 36-ft to 41’6”-ft
D. Concrete ring foundation
E. Wall Panels shall be:
1. 48" x 120" or 60" x 120"
2. Tolerance -0", + 1/8"
3. Less than 1/4" differential on diagonals
4. G-90 galvanized ASTM A-924
5. 16, 14, 12, or 10 gauge
F. Wall Panels for large diameter tanks shall be:
1. Cor Ten alloy ASTM A588
2. ASTM A606 Type 4
3. 48” x 120” or 60” x 120”, 16, 14, 12 or 10 ga.
4. 3/16” to 3/8” thick
G. Girths shall be:
1. ASTM A 36 structural angles
2. 3" x 3" x 1/4"
3. Rolled to required radius
4. Hot dip galvanized after fabrication
H. Anchor Brackets shall be:
1. 6” x 3-1/2” x 3/8” x 4” wide angle
2. Hot dip galvanized
I. Spacers shall be:
1. 1/4" x 2” x 2” long hot roll strip
2. Hot dip galvanized after fabrication
J. Footing Plates shall be:
1. Corrosion-resistant Cor-ten
2. ASTM A588
3. 3/16" thickness
K. Fasteners shall be:
1. All structural bolts and hardware, grade 5 or better, zinc plated
L. Fitted liners shall be shop fabricated in one piece for drop-in installation or in sections
for field seaming. Floating covers shall be made of the same materials as liners and
include flotation logs, ballast pipe and vent. All liner seams shall be tested by
standard industry methods for seaming integrity.
M. Liner material shall be:
1. 45 mil reinforced Polypropylene
N. Rope Grid for floating cover shall be:
1. 1/4” OD polypropylene rope
2. 3/8” forged eye bolts, galvanized

3. Special modified PVC flanges attached to secondary liner at bottom
4. Geotextile encased galvanized steel cover plate
Q. Inlet and outlet connections:
1. Through-the-wall 304 SS steel pipe with SS flange, SCH 40 PVC internal elbow

R. Galvanized steel ladder and safety cage, OSHA compliant.

1. 304 Stainless steel magnetic wide flag level indicator, Mag-Gage.
2. 304 Stainless steel gate valves at inlet, vent, and drain
3. Electrical heat tracing for freeze protection
4. Measurement length to be coordinated with actual tank dimensions
5. Manufactured by Process Level Technology, LTD or equal.
2.3 WARRANTIES
A. All tank system components manufactured and/or supplied by the tank manufacturer
shall be warranted for two years from date of substantial completion.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
A. Tank system installation shall be strictly in accordance with manufacturer's technical
data and printed instructions.
