The following questions were received to the solicitation documents. The City has provided the following answers:
Is “no Israel” the only country of origin restriction?
Proposers would need to meet all state and federal trade sanctions and embargos.
Does the pipe have to be cut exactly to 40’, or should they be double random lengths?
Pipe needs to be cut to 40’ (not double random lengths)
What is the tolerance on the 40’? +/- what dimension?
Standard 40’ pipe lengths
Also please advise if 20’ lengths would be acceptable instead of 40’ lengths.
No, 20’ lengths will not be acceptable.
On page 12 of the attachment titled “6556-0 AL Pipe Bus Main IFB,” question 12 asks “1.Has your company implemented an Employee Health and Safety Program compliant with 29 CFR 1910
“General Industry Standards” and/or 29 CFR 1926 “General Construction Standards” as they apply to your Company’s customary activities? http://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owasrch.search_form?p_doc_type
=STANDARDS&p_toc_level=1&p_keyvalue=1926.” Is this a requirement? We are distributors and therefore we don’t have any type of labor safety certifications.
You may take exception to any requirement in the solicitation. Please complete Attachment B in the main document.
Would the pipe need to be a B-241 or a B-491?
Pipe needs to be ASTM-B-241
NO OTHER CHANGES AT THIS TIME.
