AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS BY WAY OF A COOPERATIVE
PURCHASING PROGRAM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF CEDAR
HILL UNDER SECTION 271.102 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE, FOR THE
PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS) MEDICAL SUPPLIES FOR
THE CITY OF DENTON FIRE DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF
FUNDS THEREFOR; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (FILE 5427 -AWARDED
TO BOUND TREE MEDICAL IN THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $266,000 FOR
A THREE (3) YEAR TOTAL AMOUNT NOT -TO -EXCEED $800,000.)
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to purchase
Emergency Medical Services Supplies in a three (3) year not -to -exceed amount of $800,000
from Bound Tree Medical under competitive bids received by the City of Cedar Hill, in
accordance with an Cooperative Purchasing Program Participation Agreement under Section
271.102 of the Local Government Code which is on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent,
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby expressly delegates
the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under File 5427 to the City Manager of the City of Denton, Texas, or his designee.
SECTION 3. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to expend funds pursuant
to the agreement for the purchase of various goods and services.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
