6582 - Overhead Electric Distribution Work, 3.Statement of Work/ Specifications The scope of work shall be finalized upon the selection of the Firm. The respondent’s submission shall have accurately described your understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested products and services and provided an outline of your process to implement the requirements of the Scope of Work and Services. It is anticipated that the scope of work will include, at a minimum, the following: GENERAL Denton Municipal Electric (DME), a department of the City of Denton (CITY), operates an electric distribution system which is 13.2/7.62 kV Grounded Wye. The CITY has a complement of electric system operating personnel to perform normal operating, maintenance, and construction work on the system. However, DME has a need of a contract arrangement to supplement that work force, with qualified personnel, on a project need basis. Therefore, the CITY requests proposals for evaluation for labor and equipment to provide that service. DME will be looking for a full service CONTRACTOR capable of providing overhead line construction services. Desired services include, but are not limited to, installation of new or replacement of existing facilities on the system. Electrical construction material will be provided by DME or the CITY. The successful bidder must be able to provide satisfactory evidence that they are currently performing these services and have been successfully, and safely, doing so over the most recent three (3) years from date of this solicitation. CONTRACTOR must supply DME with a description of their safety program and a list of any OSHA or Lost-Time reportable accidents over the past three (3) years. DME also will require CONTRACTOR to provide Linemen Apprenticeship or Lineman Training program and certifications. The specific services requested are defined in this document.
