QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Under the Scope document, Section 6.4, can you clarify what is considered a “City-approved methodology” for calculating impact fees?
Answer: The City-approved methodology refers to a well-established process that is logical and generally accepted/adopted by other jurisdictions and throughout the nation. The process
will then be vetted through relevant City departments.
With the City having its own travel demand model, are any modeling processes run-through North Central Texas Council of Government (NCTCOG)? For example, trip tables to capture effects
of regional travel (internal-external, external-internal, internal-internal) through Denton.
Answer: The existing City model is derived from the 2040 NCTCOG model. Since NCTCOG has updated their model to 2045 the consultant will need to review the Denton model and determine
if an update or replacement is required.
