7014 - Trucking Services, 3.Statement of Work/ SpecificationsScope of Work City of Denton requires qualified vendors to provide various types of trucks and experienced licensed drivers. The trucking service shall include the hauling of spoil materials, gravel, concrete, asphalt and other materials as needed from various job sites. Destination will vary subject to job site location but will be within the City limits. The City will load the trucks. The vendor will be responsible for unloading or dumping the trucks. BACKGROUND The City of Denton is a municipal home rule City in Denton County, Texas. City’s streets and other departments will require truck hauling services for these areas. BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS BIDDER Minimum Qualifications: Bidder shall be regularly and continuously engaged in the business of providing trucking services for the last 5 years. Bidder shall possess all permits, licenses and professional credentials necessary to perform services as specified under this IFB. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Specific truck requirements to be provided: Fourteen (14) Yard tandem dump trucks; Twenty (20) plus Yard End dump trucks; Trucks are to be in good condition with no leaking gates. Trucks should not have any holes in the truck beds as per Texas Transportation Code - TRANSP § 725.021. Containing Loose Materials Trucks must have a manual or electric tarp system for fully covering loads per Texas Transportation Code - TRANSP § 725.021. Containing Loose Materials Specific debris to be removed, but not limited to: Spoil Materials; Hot mix; Gravel; Asphalt; Wood and brush debris; Garbage; Refuse; and, Silt. Contractor shall demonstrate or provide: A method to respond to calls and provide trucking services twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week; and, Deliver trucks to the City designated location within twenty-four (24) hours or as directed by the PWA contact person. Emergencies can arise and during those situations the City would expect a two (2) hour response time. Contractor shall provide experienced licensed drivers: Who are professional, polite, and courteous; Who have no more than one (1) moving violation or accident within the immediate preceding three (3) year period; Who have no conviction for misdemeanor or felony driving under the influence (DUI) and no failure to appear; and, Licensed and qualified to operate the trucks that will be provided. DELIVERABLES / REPORTS Monthly reports will be required on the First of each month and shall include a detailed listing of all work performed for the previous month. Quarterly reports will be required on the First of the month every three (3) months and shall include all detailed listing of all work performed for the previous quarter. These reports shall include the following but not limited to: Detailed description of each job completed; Invoice number(s); Time of request(s); Name of PWA employee that requested service; Contractor’s response time; Description of area or site; Type of work performed; Actual time on site or at area; Total of billable hours; and Total billed. Contractor shall provide ad hoc reports to City Street department upon request.
