Dear Sirs: We appreciate this opportunity to offer our Architectural I Engineering design services for subject project. The project is the renovation of an existing facility that is approximately 3,500 square feet. There will be renovations to the restrooms, renovations required to provide a lobby area, check in, pro shop, 2 offices and a new vestibule with a design feature on the exterior. There will be an updating for the exterior as well. I. We offer to complete services delineated in Appendix "A": "Description and Scope of Services" in a timely manner for the stipulated sum of$ 25 830. See page 2 of this proposal for scope. Architectural Services MEP Engineering Structural Engineering Geotech ADAI TAS Review Total $ 13,700. $4,250. $4,520 $2,160 l..12ili1 $25,830. Client will be responsible for all city health development association and any other governmental regulatory fees. We will cooperate to the best of our ability with the designated Owner's project leadership team and assist in the coordination and integration of information. We will generate our input and recommendations with respect to the following: Architectural: Provide revised dimensioned floor plan with new vestibule Structural: Geotech: Energy: Plumbing: Electrical: HVAC: TAS: Room ftnish schedule and door schedule/ details Section Details Reflective ceiling plan Revised Exterior elevations Revised Restroom plans/ elevations Provide structural drawings for new vestibule and entry design feature. Provide onsite visit and repair recommendations for existing building cracking. Provide for 2 borings next to the building for new construction and repair recommendations. International Energy Conservation Code calculations as required by the City of Denton. Provide a revised layout for the water and sewer mains within the building to serve the space. Provide general lighting plan for the revised space and new exterior lighting for entry. Provide electrical power for the revised space. Provide for supplemental hvac as required. Verify exhausting for restrooms. Provide filing, review and ftnal inspection for compliance with the Texas TAS (ADA) requirements. Attend meeting with client, contractor and other consultants for purposes of Coordination project information schedules and sequences. B. Coordinate with City of Denton regulatory, code and utility officials for purposes of assuring compliance with all codes. C. Prepare drawings and specifications describing and locating the Architectural systems. D. Providing the public bidding process Additional Services in general include but are not limited to: A. Redesign of systems due to changes by the owner or others after receipt of "Approved Design Development Drawings" as per schedule below. B. Value Engineering at the request of the owner after issuance of Architectural/MEP designs Hourly Rates for Additional Services: Principal in Charge: System Designer Production Tech Technical Writer Clerical/ Administrative Services not included $150.00 $ 85.00 $ 65.00 $ 60.00 $ 40.00 A. Any city requirements related to zoning or alternative development plans. B. Traffic analysis. C. Asbestos Testing D . Civil Engineering E. Phase 1 Testing F. Photometric Design Client Responsibility: Bates and Martin shall have no liability for defects or negligence in the services attributable to Bates & Martin's reliance upon or use of data, design criteria, drawings, specifications or other information furnished by Client and Client agrees to indemnify and hold Bates & Martin harmless from any and all claims and judgements, and all losses, costs and expenses arising therefrom. Bates & Martin shall disclose to the Client, prior to use thereof, defects or omissions in the data, design criteria, drawings, specifications or other information furnished by client to Bates and Martin that Bates and Martin may reasonably discover in its review and inspection thereof. Initial Here ___ _ Limitation of Liability: In recognition of the relative risks, rewards, and benefits of the project to both the client and Bates & Martin, the risks have been allocated such that the Client agrees that, to the fullest extent permissible by law, Bates & Martin's total liability to Client for any and all injuries, claims, losses, expenses, damages or claim expenses arising out of this agreement from any cause or causes, shall not exceed the total value of the compensation for this project. Such cases include, but are not limited to Bates & Martin's negligence, errors, omissions, strict liability, breach of contract or breach of warranty. Guarantees and Warranties: Bates & Martin shall not be required to execute any document that would result in its certifying, guaranteeing or warranting any existing condition whose existence Bates & Martin cannot ascertain. Direct Expenses: Expenses incurred by Bates and Martin Architects, L.L.C. that are directly attributable to North Lakes Tennis Center (Building 1) will be invoiced at 1.1 times actual cost. Direct Expenses include but are not limited to travel, travel expenses, printing and reproduction, shipping, etc. All additional expenses shall need preapproval by the Owner. Terms of Payment: Payment to Bates and Martin Architects, L.L.C. for services rendered, additional services and/ or direct expenses are due on receipt of invoice and become delinquent 30 days after said receipt of invoice. The project is the renovation of an existing facility that is approximately 450 square feet. We propose to revise the restrooms to at least one ADA accessible restroom for men and women and look at the option of having 2 each or an additional unisex restroom. I. We offer to complete services delineated in Appendix "A": "Description and Scope of Services" in a timely manner for the stipulated sum of.$. 7,4 70 page 2 of this proposal for scope. Architectural Services IVIEP Engineering Total $4,940. $2,530. $ 7,470. Client will be responsible for all city health development association and any other governmental regulatory fees.
