6180-3 Scope of Work - Electronics Recycling The scope of work shall be finalized upon the selection of the Firm. The respondent’s submission shall have accurately described your understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested products and services and provided an outline of your process to implement the requirements of the Scope of Work and Services. It is anticipated that the scope of work will include, at a minimum, the following: The City of Denton’s Solid Waste & Recycling Department is seeking a firm to recycle electronics that are collected in the residential, commercial, Building Materials Recovery Operation (BMR) and upcoming landfill mining operations. The City will package and load these items into trailers provided by the selected firm. The responding entity must provide transportation for the items from the City’s landfill to the electronic recycling facility. The selected firm must provide the items listed below. Provide necessary shipping and packaging supplies as required by the firm. (i.e. Pallets, Boxes) Provide a list of acceptable and non-acceptable recyclable items. Provide requirements for preparing recyclable electronics for shipment. Provide any special requirements. Provide at a minimum a quarterly and annual report of commodities recycled by weight. Any responding firm must demonstrate its capabilities and relevant experience necessary to handle all aspects of recycling electronics. Respondents must comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. The respondent must be a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or other legal entity. The Respondent should state their understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested services they plan to provide. The Respondent should discuss their vision of the project and how they envision the working relationship with the City of Denton.
