Station Response to Bidder Questions and Addendum No. 2
Responses to bidder questions are in bold below:
1. The addendum changed the BFP to a Febco 850 which is at the most 2” and the detail provided is
not for 8” pipe. Please confirm?
The Febco series 850 comes in a Large model available up to 10-inches. See addendum
changes below to clarify.
2. The Addendum No. 1 changed the yard valve shown on C-PC-04 to a knife gate valve, is this
correct?
Addendum No. 1 Attachment No. 4 detail provided is correct; however, the callout should
be for a gate valve in lieu of a knife gate valve. Section 15108 provides details for this gate
valve. See addendum changes below.
3. Please confirm manufacturers listed for combination air valves correspond to the type described.
The manufacturer list has been revised, see addendum changes below.
ADDENDUM CHANGES TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:
• Sheet C-PC-07. Replace the 36" Plug Valve shown at STA 4+28.53 with a Gate Valve.
Replace all "Plug Valve" callouts associated with the 36" Plug Valve with "Gate Valve".
• Specification 15114. Section 2.03.A Replace "Febco Model 825Y" with "Febco Model 850
Large".
• Specification 15114. Section 2.03.A Replace "Febco Model 825Y" with "Febco Model 850
Large".
• Specification 15114. Section 2.03A Replace “Bodies shall be of high-strength cast iron” with
Bodies shall be of 316 stainless steel”.
• Specification 15114. Replace Section 2.03E with “E. Valve shall be manufactured by ARI or
equal.”
